Meet Bina: From Great Ormond Street Nurse to Aesthetics at 65Beauty

Bina is the nurse most of our patients meet first, and she is also 65Beauty's CQC Registered Manager. Before aesthetics she was a paediatric theatre nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital. We sat her down for a proper interview so you can get to know her before your first appointment.

Real interview, filmed with consent. No AI. Results vary from person to person.

Why being a nurse matters

For Bina, being a nurse in aesthetics means one thing above everything else: your best interests come first. You can trust that everything is planned around your safety, and that she knows exactly what to do if something doesn't look or feel right. If it doesn't, she keeps you in clinic, observes you, explains what is happening, and always gets a second opinion from the team.

What to check before anyone injects your face

  • You know exactly what is being injected, and why.
  • You understand the treatment and are happy with it.
  • You have given your consent, after a proper conversation.

What happens in a consultation with Bina

She goes through your medical history, any medicines you take and any allergies, then the treatment you want and the alternatives if it isn't right for you. You only go ahead when you are both happy with the plan. And yes, she does sometimes say no. When a treatment isn't the right one, she suggests a different route instead, because her advice is about your health, not the sale.

Natural lips, not trends

Everyone's lip anatomy is different, so following a trend doesn't work for everyone. At 65Beauty the aim is to enhance the natural shape of your lips. Bina also explains why we place filler with finer, shorter needles: it is gentler, tends to cause less bruising and swelling, and allows more precise placement.

PLLA & PCL thread lifts and the PCL under-eye booster

Both work by stimulating your own collagen, so the results build gradually over the weeks after treatment rather than appearing straight away. As Bina puts it, threads are as much about skin quality as lift: firmer, more rejuvenated skin with a glow.

The question she's asked most

Most people ask Bina about thread lifts and how lifted they will look. Her honest answer: the biggest change is in skin quality. As collagen builds, skin becomes firmer and fresher, with a natural glow, but it takes a few weeks. Most people want results straight away; with treatments like this, the best results come to those who wait.

Leading the clinic, and training others

As Registered Manager and a director, Bina is responsible for how the clinic runs day to day, and she says being a nurse shaped how she takes on that responsibility. She also trains other practitioners through 65Academy. What does she look for in a good injector? How they interact with their patient, their bedside manner and their willingness to keep learning. The trait that worries her most: someone who thinks they already know it all.

Why she loves the job

"What I do puts a smile on someone's face." The hardest part, she says, is when someone's expectations can't be met, because you always want to make people happy. That is exactly why the consultation matters so much.

Her advice if you're thinking about a treatment

"Go for it, have that consultation. Speak about the treatment, build some trust with the person who is going to treat you, and then make your decision."

Results vary from person to person. Every treatment starts with a consultation with a registered clinician.
