Mesotherapy Start to Finish: Watch a Real Treatment at Our Brentwood Clinic

What actually happens in a mesotherapy appointment? In this video you can watch a whole treatment, start to finish, filmed at our Brentwood clinic. Agnes, from our beauty team, treats Paul, our Clinical Director, and talks through each step as she goes.

Real treatment, real voices, filmed with consent. No AI. Results vary from person to person.

What is mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a technique, not a single product. A practitioner uses one very fine needle to place tiny amounts of a serum into the skin, point by point. That is different from microneedling, which uses a pen with many tiny needles moving across the skin in two or three passes.

Because mesotherapy is the technique, the serum can change depending on what your skin needs. In this video Agnes uses a multivitamin serum, which is a popular choice in the colder months.

Why pores look bigger, and why your nose seems to grow

Before the treatment starts, Paul asks why his nose seems to collect so much dirt. Agnes explains that oily skin tends to have larger, more open pores. A gentle scrub once a week and a moisturiser made for oily skin can help keep them clearer.

Paul adds a point we hear a lot in clinic: your nose and ears don't really get bigger as you age. As the face gradually loses support, they can simply look bigger.

Winter skin

Cold weather and wind dry the skin out and can make it more sensitive. Conditions such as rosacea often flare in winter, which is one reason people like to look after their skin more closely from November onwards.

The treatment, step by step

  1. Cleanse. The skin is cleaned thoroughly before anything else.
  2. Placing the serum. Agnes works quickly across the face, leaving tiny, evenly spaced dots. With 15 years' experience, the speed and even spacing are what make the treatment comfortable and consistent.
  3. How it feels. Paul scores it 6 out of 10, mostly around the nasal folds. Some of the sting is the serum itself.
  4. Depth. Agnes explains that the needle goes in around 2 mm.
  5. Neck, chest and hands. The same technique is used on the areas that often show age first.

Mesotherapy or microneedling?

Both can be part of a skin plan. Mesotherapy is quicker and places product precisely, a little deeper, point by point. Microneedling works across the whole surface in several passes. Your practitioner will help you decide which suits your skin and your goals at your consultation.

What to expect afterwards

  • The skin feels tighter almost straight away.
  • Small dots are normal and settle quickly. Paul had no bruising.
  • Agnes has the treatment monthly herself, as part of a facial routine.
  • Results vary from person to person.

Is it right for you?

Mesotherapy is for adults aged 18 and over. Everyone has a consultation first, so we can check your skin, your medical history and what you would like to achieve, and give you an honest view of what is realistic. If it isn't the right treatment for you, we will say so.
