After Filler Dissolving: What's Normal and When to Worry

Just had filler dissolved? Dissolving works quickly, but the area needs a little time to settle. Here is what to expect.

In the video, Bina, one of our nurses, talks you through it. Everything she covers is written out below so you can come back to it.

Your aftercare, step by step

First 24 hours

Swelling, redness and tenderness are normal, and the area may look uneven or deflated at first. Use a cold compress wrapped in a cloth. Avoid alcohol, exercise, heat and make-up on the area. Don't massage unless we asked you to.

Days 2 to 3

Most of the dissolving happens within 24 to 48 hours. Swelling settles over a few days.

Weeks 1 to 2

Let the tissues settle fully before judging the result. Sometimes a second session is needed.

Before any new filler

We usually wait at least two weeks before placing any new filler, so we can see your natural shape clearly.
