Why men put it off
Plenty of men only see a clinician when something is clearly wrong. Feeling a bit flat, sleeping badly or noticing changes in energy are easy to put down to work, age or a busy week. A blood test will not answer every question, but it can give you and a clinician something concrete to talk about.
What a private blood test involves
- A quick chat. We talk through why you are interested in a test and which one may suit you.
- The sample. A small blood sample is taken at the clinic. It only takes a few minutes.
- The lab. Your sample is processed and sent to the laboratory for analysis.
- Your results, properly explained. We go through your results with you in plain English, so you know what they mean for you.
What can be checked
Depending on the test you choose, results can cover areas such as energy-related markers, cholesterol and hormones, including testosterone. We will explain what each test covers before you book, so there are no surprises.
