Just had skin boosters or Profhilo? Skin boosters work gradually, so here is how to look after your skin now and between sessions.
In the video, Bina, one of our nurses, talks you through it. Everything she covers is written out below so you can come back to it.
Your aftercare, step by step
First 24 hours
Small bumps at the injection points are normal: they are the product sitting in the skin and usually flatten within 24 to 48 hours (Profhilo bumps often go within a few hours). Don't massage them. No make-up for 12 hours, and avoid alcohol, exercise, saunas, hot baths and sunbeds.
Days 2 to 7
Keep your skin hydrated and use SPF 30 or higher every day. Avoid facials, peels, retinol, acids and microneedling for a week. Small bruises can take up to a week to clear.
Weeks 2 to 4
Skin quality improves gradually as your skin responds: more hydration, glow and firmness. Polynucleotide results build over several weeks.
Your course
Most boosters work best as a course. Keep your next appointments spaced as your practitioner advised so each session builds on the last.

This is general aftercare information. Always follow any specific advice your clinician gave you on the day. If you were treated at another clinic, contact them first, as products and techniques vary.
Results vary from person to person. Every treatment starts with a consultation with a registered clinician.
